Well with all the rain comes lots of mud to trudge through and try not to fall over and land in the nastey stew that is the ground. I say stew because now there are rivers of steaming poop running threw all this old hay that is trampled in the ground. Got to shovel up that poop now. Feed and collect the eggs from the chickens that the teenage daughter (yup same one - there is only one) begged and begged for, feed them and clean up in there too. She did swear she would take care of them, there are only a few I even tried to pay her to help me she told me no she would rather just lay around and be a lazy bum. Well that did not go over good, but today I just don't have the fight in me.
Poop shoveled up, chickens fed, eggs collected and chicken coop cleaned up. Oh and let me just tell you about the chicken coop. I am not a country girl I grew up right outside of Boston Ma, My ex-husband moved me out here in the middle of nowhere - I mean in the woods and then he left me there. But before he left (which was a total surprize) He built a chicken coop for the chickens that he wanted and left before getting but anyway the chicken coop has your standard well built nesting boxes and ledges but it also has windows a nice door a fan, electricity, lights and drainage so you can really clean it out for them. Oh and they do have their little chicken door. He never had animals or anything before either he was from San Fransico.
